I am a second year PhD student in Georgia Institute of Technology, advised by Drs. Umakishore Ramachandran and Tushar Krishna. I received my bachelor’s degree in Business and Computer Science in Seoul National University(SNU), Korea. Prior to coming to Atlanta, I started my career at Moloco as a Software Engineer for 1.5 years. During my PhD career I have interned in companies such as Google.

My research focus is on Edge computing, with a broad interest in distributed systems and hardware architectures. Currently I am looking into systems that can consider the constraints of Edge environments when managing resources. I believe Edge computing will open up the door to a new paradigm, just as cloud computing did. The direct impact this has on our lives, through venues such as smart cities, excites me most about this field.

At my free time I play the double bass as a proud member of the Emory University Symphony Orchestra(EUSO).
